Square bill crankbaits like the Fulks Custom 1.5S are meant to be bounced off just that kind of cover, though. That's what makes fish strike.
The lure is wobbling along when it hits something and - courtesy of its wide, square front - deflects off, in a crazy, dizzy, wounded-prey kind of way. It runs three to five feet deep.
The FC-1.5S is a silent lure in that it has no internal rattles. That makes it a good choice for fishing clear or heavily-pressured waters, where bass see lots of lures. This lure weighs in at a 1/2 ounce.
