Basil – Basilico, a Foglia di Lattuga Bollosa

Ocimum basilicum, Annual

Lettuce leaf basil’s large crinkled leaves sometimes grow to 4 inches long and are wide enough to stuff like grape leaves. The tasty leaves have a pronounced clove-like fragrance, distinct from regular basil.


Mesclun Salad Mix – Misticanza o Miscuglio di Insalate

Mixed Varieties

A delectable mix of sweet lettuces, flavorful endives and chicory in a delightful assortment of colors and textures.


Pepper, Sweet – Peperone, Corno di Toro Misto

Capsicum annuum

An early variety, with long, conical fruit (like the horn of a bull) that turns to yellow or red as it ripens. Flesh is thick and sweet. Can be pickled or fried.


Zucchini – Zucchino, Striato di Napoli “S. Pasquale”

Cucurbita pepo

A very early producer, featuring uniform long, green, cylindrical fruits marked with white stripes.


Tomato – Pomodoro, San Marzano 2

Solanum lycopersicum, Indeterminate

This is the authentic Italian paste tomato. Its superb flavor is enjoyed both in fresh sauces and processed for later use. Great for dried tomatoes, too.


Tomato – Pomodoro, Costoluto Genovese

Solanum lycopersicum, Indeterminate

Costoluto Genovese is the Italian heirloom standard for flavorful sauces. Flat, heavily lobed shape with deep, slightly acidic flavor. A popular choice for canning and juicing.


Bean – Fagiolo, Nano Borlotto Lingua di Fuoco

Phaseolus vulgaris

Also known as “Tongues of Fire,” Borlotto is a bush bean that features broad, stringless pods mottled with red. Harvest when young and tender for exceptional snap bean flavor, or use as dried beans.
